There will be a teach-in on the subject of buffalo this month in Bozeman, MT. Wednesday, March 26, 7 PM, at Montana State University’s Procrastinator Theater. I urge all to attend this meeting if possible.
Please click HERE for more detailed info on the event.
For those who cannot attend, I urge them to promote this desperately needed event through word of mouth, distributing homemade flyers, placing adds in the paper or on the radio...whatever is feasible for you.

Thanks so much for this!
I think what makes this event really neat is that it's more than a film and a talk; it's a chance for people who are interested to begin organizing on the buffalo and other local issues and build a real sense of community activism.
If people are coming from Billings and other places in Montana, it's great because it can spur thoughts on how to be doing the same.
If people just want to learn more, then it will at least be an educational opportunity.
So, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Jim
Hi Heavenabove;
It seems the bison kill is at least making the media in quite a few places around the world. I have bumped into it at quite a few news sites.
The idea of slaughtering these animals is preposterous…
Jim, my thoughts exactly on gathering folks together. I appreciate a chance to help in even a small way. As I've said before, this place has pretty much zero activism so I am very much going against the grain here- hoping somewhere somehow in this town somebody feels the same. Perhaps much bigger things can come of it!
Livingsword, I'm glad to hear that the bison are making news worldwide. Other places are probably wondering what the heck we're doing to these animals.
Hope all is well for you!
All is well. Getting ready to print up some bison flyers.
Also, someone left a hateful anonymous comment that I rejected. All I have to say to that person is to look at the whole picture and many sides to a story before you throw ignorant words at others. Also, I suggest reading your Bible again and attending some Bible studies to get the real meaning of what our "dominion over the animals" means. It does not mean to blast everything away because we can.
Hi Heavenabove;
It is curious how people see “dominion” as obliterate, or with wanton abandon devastate. Its kind of like saying “take care of” or “rule” means to destroy. Often it is because people have not researched the Greek and Hebrew linguistic underpinnings of Scripture that they make these kinds of errors. Sometimes they want to force Scripture to submit to their culture and not have their minds conformed to the Word of God.
It makes one wonder if this is how they are in regards to stewardship of money. Do they waste money; are they poor stewards of money? If they agree that we should be good stewards of money then is it not logical that we should be just as much good stewards of God’s creation? However I suspect their response is more emotional than logical or Scriptural. Its not like you are trying to support worship of creation you just want us to fulfill our part of the mission given to us by God….to care for His Creation…
Be encouraged….
Livingsword, thanks for your comments. I agree that emotions must play a large role in that thinking. In addition, "anonymous" also left words of hateful prejudice against vegetarians and homosexuals. Like I said, that poor soul needs some Bible study time:)
To all, I will be leaving this same post up as an announcement until after this important event is over. Please help our bison.
Hi Heavenabove;
Thought I would beam over and see how you are doing, I hope you are well. By the way today is the 1 Year Anniversary of Life on the Blade and you may find the article that goes with it interesting….
Have any new news on our bison friends?
Take care talk to you later…
